Olivier François is Strategic Advisor to Stellantis, supporting the Company on a broad range of strategic topics, including brand and product strategy.
François began his automotive career at Citroën, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including Managing Director of Citroën Italy.
He joined Fiat Group in 2005 as President and CEO of Lancia. In 2008, he took on group-wide responsibility for marketing communications and, following Fiat’s alliance with Chrysler, was appointed President and CEO of the Chrysler brand in 2009. He also became the lead marketing executive for Chrysler Group, overseeing marketing strategy, brand development and advertising across the Chrysler and Fiat Group brands.
In 2011, François was appointed global CEO of Fiat and Global Chief Marketing Officer, joining the Group Executive Council. He subsequently led Fiat while retaining responsibility for global marketing through the creation of FCA and, later, Stellantis. In 2021, he was appointed to the Stellantis Top Executive Team.
From 2023 to 2025, he also served as CEO of DS Automobiles.
Throughout his career, François has combined business and brand leadership with global marketing responsibility, playing a key role in the development and positioning of some of the automotive industry’s most recognized brands and in the creation of award-winning global advertising campaigns.
His work has been widely recognized by the industry. He was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Fame in 2024 and the Forbes CMO Hall of Fame, and in 2026 he received the Autocar Editors’ Award in 2026 and the Automotive News All-Stars for his contribution to the transformation and global success of Fiat.
François holds a degree in economics, finance and marketing from Paris Dauphine University and a diploma from Sciences Po Paris.
