Diversity and Inclusion

Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion is in our DNA, where the Stellantis community represents 165 nationalities across six regions of the world, contributing their unique perspectives and experience.

Our employees are committed to creating a fair, respectful and inclusive work environment. We promote equal employment opportunities, where everyone is valued for their contributions to the Company.

It is essential to the performance and sustainability of our business as we combine advanced technology and streamlined connectivity to build diverse teams with differences in knowledge, skills, backgrounds, perspectives and experience. Diverse teams allow us to be more agile and deliver quick solutions to the ever-evolving technology and mobility needs of our customers.

Vision

At Stellantis, meritocracy is a core value and a guiding principle that enables us to build innovative teams who develop products that excite our customers. We continuously reinforce the principle that diverse teams, who are provided with equal opportunities and respectful workplaces, are key to the strength of our business by influencing the development of new ideas and solutions that will shape the future. We promote an environment where all employees are afforded an equal opportunity to succeed.

Respecting and following the laws and regulations of all countries where we do business and our continued commitment to our core values enables Stellantis to create a workplace where all our employees can contribute to the Company’s success.

Our Approach

Our strategy is underpinned by three principles:

  • Empower diversity with meritocracy
  • Respect for local traditions and context
  • Find global common ground considering regional specificities

Empower Diversity with Meritocracy

Stellantis employees cultivate an inclusive environment through engagement, development and training to energize the full potential of our workforce.

Through our Human Resources policies, based on meritocracy, we regularly evolve our programs at all levels of the Company to ensure our actions remain effective in promoting equality of opportunity.

Stellantis is aligned with the vision of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal on Gender Equality and is committed to following the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEP). WEP encourages companies to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace, industry and community.

We have developed a comprehensive range of training to engage employees in equal opportunity, and Diversity & Inclusion topics, ensuring the importance of the topics while communicating the role of employees in contributing to overall inclusivity.

All employees have access to training, development and career opportunities to support their contribution and progression within Stellantis.

Respect for Local Traditions and Context

Following are some examples of our progress at the regional level.

In North America, our Business Resource Groups (BRG) have played a vital role in fostering an inclusive environment for all. These voluntary, employee-led groups support networking, mentorship, professional development, cultural awareness, and community engagement. Membership and participation are open to everyone at Stellantis. We make it clear that, “You don’t have to BE to Belong”. Many employees engage with multiple BRGs across regions and globally.

In South America, we strengthened our external commitment through the signature of the WEPs.

In Europe, and particularly in Italy, Stellantis has received the gender equality certification. This important recognition confirms our concrete commitment to promoting a fair and inclusive work environment.

In the Middle East and Africa region, a Young Talent Internship Program is active to attract emerging talents, with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan countries. Overall, more than 17,000 applications were received for the program.

In the India and Asia-Pacific region, Stellantis employees are making an impact with Motor Citizens activities, such as upskilling, interview readiness, and career mentorship for students. Employees are also involved in activities with NGOs to donate books, fostering education and growth within local communities.

In China, Stellantis is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace and particular attention is dedicated to developing local talent. Employees are engaged in various initiatives sustained by business leaders and Business Resource Groups. Stellantis also collaborates with local governments to sustain activities that have an impact on the communities where we operate.

Finding Global Common Ground Considering Regional Specificities

The Dutch Gender Diversity Act requires Stellantis to establish appropriate and ambitious targets for gender diversity on its Board of Directors and in leadership positions. The objective is to enhance gender distribution in leadership positions to 30% by 2025, 35% by 2030 and 40% by 2040, in compliance with local laws. For additional information, refer to the ESG Disclosures.

Our Business Resource Groups are the navigators in our diversity and inclusion journey. In addition to cultivating inclusion and belonging within the workplace, BRGs extend their impact into the community – partnering with local organizations, supporting philanthropic initiatives, and leading volunteer efforts. Together, they help drive meaningful business results while making Stellantis a great place to work and a force for good in the communities we serve.

One of our Business Resource Groups, Women of Stellantis, represents nearly 5,000 members and allies in 37 countries and was developed to drive women to define and pursue their own and the Company’s path to success.

Every employee has experienced a different path on their journey to Stellantis. Establishing teams with diversity of thought, skill and background supports unique employee contributions while achieving our business objectives and supporting our customers. Click here to see how you can be part of our ambition to embrace breakthrough ideas to offer innovative, clean, safe and affordable mobility.
