Advancing Safety and Reliability Through Innovation

Safety and reliability are key priorities at Stellantis. Across every phase of the product life cycle — from design and manufacturing to everyday use — we aim to enhance the safety, quality and performance our customers rely on.

Developing Safe Products for Our Customers

We use AI to enhance safety on board and transform vehicle interaction

Artificial Intelligence helps make our vehicles safer, smoother, and more intuitive to use. Through STLA Brain, Stellantis is building a common software foundation designed to enable continuous updates, enhanced safety capabilities and improved vehicle experiences over time. As AI capabilities continue to evolve, vehicles become more responsive and adaptive, delivering smart navigation, continuous updates, and seamless interactions that make every journey easier and more enjoyable.

We protect user data

We leverage advanced technologies, from development to disposal, to reduce the risk of intrusions and cybersecurity breaches across the entire vehicle life cycle. We apply specific cyber protection to vehicle design, electronic systems, and on offboard platforms for connected vehicles, in compliance with applicable regulations.

Additionally, Stellantis works to ensure that personal data is kept confidential and processed solely for valid purposes in compliance with law. Stellantis’ Data Protection Policy and procedures safeguard the individual privacy rights against potential data misuse, in an effort to prevent economic loss and discrimination.

We strive to improve quality

Leveraging recent technological advances, we aim, where appropriate, to support manufacturing innovation and contribute to the development of products aligned with applicable standards and evolving industry practices.

For example, automated AI vision systems are already active in most European paint shops, helping to ensure surface quality consistency with high precision at key stages in production, with close to 40% of our paint shops now equipped with these advanced systems.

The “Eagle Eye” system in our Zaragoza paint shop (Spain) is the first surface inspection system of the paint layer with cars in motion. The “Eagle Eye” system in our Zaragoza paint shop (Spain) is the first surface inspection system of the paint layer with cars in motion.

We enable smarter, data-driven predictive maintenance

Connected services support the delivery of functionalities aimed at monitoring vehicle conditions and assisting drivers.

These services rely on the use of vehicle-related information to provide general, service‑oriented insights and notifications, helping customers better plan maintenance activities when appropriate.

Information may be made available through digital channels such as in‑car interfaces or mobile applications, contributing to a more seamless ownership experience. All services are designed to be delivered in accordance with applicable regulations, data protection requirements and customer choices.
