With the automotive industry accelerating change to avert climate and ecological threats, Stellantis has defined a pathway to reduce its climate impacts and achieve carbon net zero by 2050.
As intermediate targets on this pathway, by 2030 and compared to 2021, we aim to reduce:
- our absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 20-30%
- our absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from plants and sites by 47-50%
Progressing toward these intermediate targets, Stellantis continued to decrease absolute GHG emissions in 2025, achieving a 26% reduction vs. 2021 for Scope 1, 2 and 3, and a 43% reduction vs. 2021 for Scope 1 and 2.
At the same time, the Company is adapting its operations, skills, and workforce to evolving business and technological requirements. We are embedding “just transition” principles to support employees and communities fairly in these transformations.

A Holistic Approach to Climate Change
A Threefold Strategy to Reduce Our Carbon Footprint
Our push to carbon net zero addresses all sources of greenhouse gas emissions, from our vehicles to our supply chain, as well as our industrial and tertiary sites. We identified eight critical activities to reduce our carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, implementing different practices and technologies that limit any compensation to a minimum.
Enabling a “Just Transition”
For Stellantis, a “just transition” means a shift to low-carbon mobility in a way that is fair and responsive to the needs of employees, communities, suppliers and customers across the value chain.
In line with the Company’s transformation, it means supporting people through evolving business and technological changes by investing in skills, employability and social dialogue, while helping ensure that decarbonization remains connected to affordability, accessibility and long-term value creation.
