Stellantis annuncia l’accordo per la vendita delle attività di car sharing di Free2move a Mutares

  • Free2move fornisce servizi di car sharing senza stazioni fisse (free-floating) in Europa e negli Stati Uniti
  • Stellantis darà priorità alla continuità per clienti, partner e dipendenti durante tutto il processo fino alla chiusura, attesa entro la fine del 2026

Amsterdam/Monaco di Baviera – Stellantis e Mutares SE & Co. KGaA (“Mutares”, ISIN: DE000A2NB650) hanno annunciato oggi un accordo per la cessione a Mutares dell’intera partecipazione azionaria di Stellantis nelle attività di car-sharing di Free2move. La conclusione della transazione è attesa entro la fine del 2026, fatte salve le consuete condizioni di chiusura.

Attraverso la propria app mobile, Free2move offre soluzioni di mobilità a breve e lungo termine senza stazioni fisse disponibili 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7. Free2move gestisce una delle piattaforme di car sharing con la copertura geografica più diversificata, con flotte in 14 città in Europa e negli Stati Uniti.

Questa transazione è in linea con la strategia definita dal piano FaSTLAne 2030 di Stellantis. L’Azienda adotta un approccio disciplinato all’allocazione del capitale, indirizzando investimenti e risorse verso le regioni, i marchi e le tecnologie in grado di generare i rendimenti più elevati.

Con la firma di un accordo per l’acquisizione delle attività di car sharing di Free2move, Mutares crea una nuova piattaforma nel settore della mobilità. I piani includono una gestione rinnovata della flotta internazionale, il proseguimento della transizione verso la mobilità elettrica e una maggiore attenzione all’esperienza dei clienti e alle esigenze di mobilità delle amministrazioni locali.

Come realtà indipendente all’interno del portafoglio Mutares, le attività di car sharing di Free2move potranno beneficiare di una maggiore agilità, investimenti dedicati e maggiore flessibilità operativa, aiutandola a raggiungere gli obiettivi di crescita nel competitivo mercato della mobilità.

Il perfezionamento dell’operazione resta soggetto alle procedure di informazione e consultazione previste con le rappresentanze dei lavoratori, nonché all’ottenimento delle necessarie autorizzazioni regolamentari e al soddisfacimento delle altre condizioni consuete previste dalla normativa applicabile.
